Fully Electric Plate-Rolling Machines Also Process Sheet Metal

Seen at FABTECH 2023…Italian manufacturer Davi Inc. debuted for North America its new full-electric line of plate rolling machines that allow shaping of even thinner-gauge sheet. The e-Power line features a compact design due to absence of a hydraulic control unit, which also means no lubrication required. And, next-generation actuators deliver precision and high accuracy, according to company officials, who explain that the e-Power line offers a level of precision on the order of hundredths of an inch, with a positioning accuracy of 0.05 in. as compared to typical 0.10-in. precision. 

For improved productivity, the line reportedly provides smooth and simultaneous movement across multiple axes, enabling multiple tasks to be performed simultaneously. Other features: low power consumption, with energy used only during movement; silent operation; and ease of installation.
