Formetrix Hires CEO and Announces Plans for New Headquarters

Formetrix, Inc., a provider of high-performance, steel alloys for additive manufacturing, has named Scott Pearson as its chief executive officer. The company also announced plans to open its new headquarters from Providence, RI, to the greater Boston area in March.

Pearson has more than 25 years of experience leading a wide range of technology-based companies and organizations in a range of industries, including uninterruptible power systems (UPS), fuel cells, electric vehicles, electronics assembly equipment and materials, digital imaging, stationary energy storage, and defense systems. Prior to joining Formetrix, he spent six years as president and CEO of Aquion Energy, a venture-backed company focused on the development, manufacturing, and sales of advanced batteries and storage systems.
