120-Yr.-Old John Bouchard & Sons Receives Woman Business Enterprise Certification
After 120 yr. in business, John Bouchard & Sons Co. (JBS), Nashville, TN, has earned certification as a Woman Business Enterprise by The Governor’s Office of Diversity Business Enter- prise for the State of Tennessee. Says owner Lisa Bouchard Morgan: “For over a century, the John Bouchard & Sons Co. tra- dition of innovation and excellence has helped create and maintain the systems that keep communities running. It’s my privilege to help carry our family’s business into the future.”
JBS began as a machine shop in 1900 and was incorporated in 1913. It now features four fully integrated divisions: construction, machine services, equipment sales and service, and foundry.
Mac Metal Obtains ISO 9001:2015 Certification
Metal fabricator Mac Metal, a Germantown, WI, has obtained the ISO 9001:2015 certification for the manufacture and assembly of fabricated metal parts for OEM customers. The standard specifies requirements for a quality-management system aimed at providing consistent products and services that meet customer needs, and applicable statutory and regu- latory requirements.
Mac Metal received its certification in October 2022, the culmination of more than half a century of continuous improve- ment and implementation of numerous quality-assurance pro- tocols, says company president Ted Haischer.

Aida-America announced three new hires. Joining the com- pany as project managers, after-market solutions, are John Reynolds and Javed Gardezi, who will manage equipment upgrades and retrofits, coordinating between internal depart- ments and external suppliers and serving as single points of customer contact. In addition, the firm has hired Rob Maley as marketing coordinator, with shared responsibility for all Aida- America marketing efforts, as well as coordinating globally with other Aida group companies.
Beckwood Press Co., St. Louis, MO, a manufacturer of cus- tom hydraulic and servo-electric presses, automation systems, and the Triform line of precision forming equipment, has hired Rachel Palasky as engineering manager and Tony Busch as supply-chain manager. Palasky will oversee the engineering department, focusing on cross-collaboration between depart- ments. Busch will lead the purchasing department while direct- ly coordinating with Beckwood’s vendors, seeking to boost Beckwood’s ongoing continuous-improvement efforts by help- ing to navigate the global supply-chain crisis.
BLM Group USA, Novi, MI, a manufacturer of tube and sheet processing systems, has appointed Mark Dilling director of service, responsible for the United States and Canada. Dilling will oversee the development, continuous improvement and delivery of customer service, including machine installation, tech support, training, maintenance and repair.
