Dallas Industries, Troy, MI, has delivered two complete feed lines, along with two reels and retrofit coil guide rolls for existing systems, to the Adient (formerly Johnson Controls) facility in Athens, TN. The new LoopSelect Space- Saver feed lines, one 60 in. wide and the other 72 in. wide, each offer 40,000-lb. capacity.
Specialty Metals Process- ing (SMP), Stow, OH, has announced that Bob Wilson has been named president of the company. Wilson has spent his entire career in the metals industry, and was most recently president of Penn Ohio Metals. SMP is a proces- sor of stainless steel, alu- minum, titanium and other specialty metals.
Two New Coil Lines Plus Retrofits Sent to Adient in TN
Lapham-Hickey Steel has promoted Michele Summey to the position of vice president- corporate procurement, where she will negotiate and coordi- nate the buying activities among all seven of the compa- ny’s locations. Summey also will remain the Chicago divi- sion’s purchasing manager. The company offers a variety of material value-added pro- cessing services, including slitting, blanking, oscillating laser cutting, welding, forming and more.
 The compact and flexible lines feature selectable loop control, where front-loop mode allows processing of light-gauge material at long feed lengths and higher speeds, and back-loop mode allows processing of heavy- gauge materials through the use of a clock-spring loop beneath the coil.
Vero Software, a designer, developer and supplier of CAD/CAM/CAE software, has hired Jeff Nesbitt as sales manager for Canada. Based in Windsor, Ontario, Nesbitt is charged with managing Cana- dian distributors and direct sales of Vero product lines, as well as with increasing overall brand recognition throughout the country.
Each of the feed lines pur- chased by Adient include a servo feed/piloting pull- through straightener (model DRFXDS-8) with 8-in.-dia.
