Mayfran Debuts Reduced-Maintenance Conveyor that Integrates Coolant Cleaning Technology with Chip Handling and Removal
Mayfran International, Cleveland, OH, will showcase its newest conveyor, the CleanSweep-RM, a conveyor that integrates proven coolant cleaning technology with highly
effective chip handling and removal. The unit proves ideal for conveying most types of chips and turnings with a compact design that will fit almost any machine tool
and coolant tank. It is a reduced-maintenance alter- native to a basic hinge-belt conveyor, offering increased machine uptime and reduced coolant-tank maintenance.
The unique design of the CleanSweep-RM allows chips and coolant to enter the load area of the conveyor, where large chips are carried by the hinge belt and ele- vated to the discharge hopper. An internal chip-handling system removes small chips and fines while a removable screen box cleans the coolant. Reported payback period for the CleanSweep-RM conveyor is within 1 yr.

During IMTS, Jet Edge will perform live five-axis abrasive waterjet-cutting demonstrations on its premiere 90,000-psi Edge X-5 five-axis waterjet with Aquavision Di control and closed-loop filtration system. The machine cuts precise taper- free parts from virtually any material. It can cut sophisticated 3D parts such as impellers and bevels up to 50 deg.
This workhorse waterjet system is designed to provide years of dependable service in industrial environments. The Jet Edge Edge X-5 comes in many sizes, from 5 by 5 ft. to 24 by 13 ft. A second cutting head is optional.
Jet Edge also will showcase its new low-cost Boss- Cutter waterjet system; its 90,000-psi X-Stream intensifier
pumps; and eco-friendly and economically priced 55,000-psi Eco-Jet direct-drive pumps.
