EuroBlech Welcomes a Slew of
Metalforming-Equipment Buyers
Forty percent of the 60,500 folks that attended the EuroBlech trade show in October in Hanover, Germany, said they came to the show with the “definite intention” of buying. Attendees came from all over the world—other than Ger- many, top visitor countries were Austria, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and Great Britain. MetalForming maga- zine was there in full force, and will report shortly on some very impressive new-product introductions we spied on the show floor. Stay tuned.

Misumi to Acquire Dayton
Progress, Anchor Lamina
By the end of November, Japan-based Misumi Group was expected to take ownership of Dayton Progress Corp., Dayton, OH, and its subsidiary PCS Co., from Connell Limited Partnership. The acquisition includes the Anchor Lamina die-components business of Connell, known for its Danly, IEM, Lempco and Lamina brands. Connell hangs on to the die-set and fabrication divisions of Anchor Danly. Dayton Progress and Anchor Lamina manufacture tooling and die components for stamping and form- ing. Combined they operate 14 plants worldwide.
Omax Adds Middle Eastern
Distribution Partner
Abrasive-waterjet-machine supplier Omax Corp., Kent, WA, has named Ger- man-Gulf Enterprises Ltd. its new distri- bution partner in the Middle East. The firm will sell Omax systems in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman. German-Gulf is headquartered in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

Perfection Global LLC, an appraiser, buyer and seller of industrial machinery
headquartered in Elk Grove, IL, has part- nered with DSK Machinery Co., a South Korean rebuilder of machine tools including CNC milling machines, turning centers, grinders and more. Perfection Global, which operates an 86,000-sq.-ft. showroom near Chicago’s O’Hare Air- port, is DSK’s exclusive agent in North America.
