    Oregon Metal Slitters to Add Heavy-Gauge CTL Line
Red Bud Industries, Red Bud, IL, will provide a new heavy-gauge cut-to-length line to Oregon Metal Slitters, Portland, OR, with blanking capacity to 1⁄2 in. The line will process coils to 50,000 lb. and 72 in. wide, and will include a variable-rake shear and drop stacker.

Burghardt + Schmidt GmbH, Remchingen, Ger- many, has formed a U.S. sub- sidiary (Burghardt and Schmidt, Inc.) in Chesterton, IN, and appointed Peter Swenson sales director for the U.S. and Canadian mar- kets.
