                                          Certifications
The main office and the manufacturing facility of The Lincoln Electric Co. of Canada, Toronto, Ontario, have received ISO 14001 certification. Lincoln Cana- da’s environmental-manage- ment system focuses on reducing waste from pro- duction, reducing water and energy consumption and developing and manufactur- ing environmentally friendly products.
Arnold Magnetic Tech- nologies Rolled Products, Marengo, IL, a manufactur- er of ultra-thin metal-alloy strip products, has been approved for certification to AS 9100:2004. The regis- tration addresses the pur- chase, supply, manufacture and distribution of precision strip, foil, piece parts, wire, bar and rod. The company supplies material—titanium, red metals, aluminum, high-nickel alloys, magnetic alloys and several propri- etary alloys—as thin as 0.000069 in., in strips as narrow as 0.03125 in.
Precision metalforming company and custom tool- ing manufacturer Ramcel Engineering Co., North- brook, IL, has been recerti- fied to TS 16949:2002 and ISO 9001:2000, and has begun the certification process to ISO 14001, which it expects to com- plete later this year. The company specializes in the application of state-of-the- art technology in the areas of in-line vision systems and in-die sensing.
Metal stamping, gasket and shim manufacturer Ohio Gasket & Shim Co.,
Inc., Akron, OH, has been certified to ISO/TS 16949:2002 without design. The firm offers short-run prototyping to full production stamping runs, and also offers fabrication capabilities including laser- beam cutting.

The Genesee Group, a metal-fabricating and stamping company with plants in Texas and Ten- nessee, named Randy Kempf president/CEO. Kempf previously served as president/CEO of a public company in Northern Iowa, and brings a wealth of expe- rience in high-speed stamp- ing, fabrication and injec- tion molding. The firm also announced that one of its founders, Dan Fergus, will retire after 31 years at the helm, but will remain on the board of directors.
Tool Ventures Internation- al (TVI), a privately owned tool and die and machining company, appointed execu- tive vice president Bryan Bovia as purchasing direc- tor; Bill Fritz, engineering manager; Rayme Bracken, vice president, business development; Ron Hoover, controller; and Rob Brooks, plant manager (Alabama). TVI operates facilities in Grand Rapids, MI, Huntsville, AL, and Hyderabad, India.
