SUCCESS IS NOT A SOLO ENDEAVOR.
The world is more interdependent than ever – none of us can isolate every variable, account for every unknown, or see every perspective. The Nitrex Heat Treating Services (HTS) facility in Franklin, IN, has received Nad- cap (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accredi- tation Program) accreditation for the following processes: heattreating for multiple alloy families, stress relieving, car- burizing, nitriding, vacuum heat treating, hardness and metallography.
The firm, whose HTS facili-
ty in Queretaro, MX, also is Nadcap accredited, operates three business units—Nitrex Turnkey System (NTS), manu- facturing turnkey nitriding, nitrocarburizing, and vacuum systems; HTS, a global net- work of commercial heattreat- ing service centers; and UPC, a provider of controls upgrades and automation solutions for heattreating and combustion.
Okay Industries Adds Plastic Molding and Insert Molding Capabilities
Okay Industries, New Britain, CT, a contract manu- facturer of components and subassemblies for global med- ical-device OEMs, has added plastic molding and insert molding to its resume of cus- tom manufacturing capabili- ties. The firm has invested in horizontal and rotary vertical molding machines, as well as additional automation sys- tems, inspection equipment and advanced quality-control technologies.
The vertical integration of plastic molding and insert molding aims to improve quali-
ty control, reduce supply-chain risks and support cost-control initiatives.
Okay’s insert and two-shot insert molding production capabilities, combined with multi-cavity and small shot molding, allow for efficient production of medical and surgical components that require tight tolerances and intricate part geometries, reducing secondary opera- tions, increasing flexibility of design, and allowing for an increased variety of shapes, styles and options. and weld- ing and robotics.
