Sigma Labs, Inc. has named Jacob Brunsberg president and chief operating officer, responsible for product direction, strategic relationships, sales, marketing and engineering. As president of Sigma Labs, which develops and provides quality monitoring, analytics and assurance software for the commercial 3D printing industry, he will report to Mark K. Ruport, Sigma’s chief executive officer.

Brunsberg will oversee several reported strategic initiatives designed to accelerate company growth and performance, including the transition to a software-only offering, initiation and implementation of a comprehensive OEM-integration program, building of strategic partnerships, and implementation of a new subscription-based pricing model.

"I am honored to be able to lead and serve a team with this level of talent, potential and technology,” Brunsberg says. “Our mission is to accelerate the adoption of additive manufacturing (AM) by setting the standard for in-situ quality monitoring and analytics. With customer success at the forefront, we will practice radical collaboration with the goal of driving costs out of the AM process chain, ensuring reliability and repeatability, and delivering a standardized approach to quality across the entire AM landscape.”

Brunsberg joined Sigma Labs in September 2021 as senior vice president.
