Grant Supports Exports of Automotive Aftermarket Products—Russia Being Targeted
October 23, 2014Comments
U.S. exports hit an all-time record of $2.3 trillion in 2013, says the Department of Commerce, supporting more than 11 million jobs. A key component of that are exports of automotive aftermarket products, which has received support from the Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration in the form of a $2.2 million federal grant. A chunk of the grant, $300,000, has been awarded to the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), Diamond Bar, CA. SEMA pledges to use the grant, in part, to expand exporting opportunities for its members with a new annual fact-finding and sales mission to Russia.
