Amada America Celebrates Opening of NC Site
Amada America marked the opening of its 190,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing center in High Point, NC, while announcing plans to open its 62,000-sq.-ft. technical center next year on the same campus.

Fagor Arrasate
to Open New Chicago-Area Plant
Fagor Arrasate USA, Inc., a Willowbrook, IL-based provider of metal forming lines, announced plans to open a new service facility with offices and a bridge crane by the end of 2020 in the Chica- go area, though the exact location has not been revealed. The company intends for the greenfield proj- ect to strengthen its after- sales service, engineering and spare parts inventory.

Batesville Tool & Die Wins Indiana Manufacturing Award
Batesville Tool & Die, Inc., a Batesville, IN-based supplier of precision metal stamping components for the automo- tive, appliance, industrial and other industries, won the title of 2019 Indiana Manufactur- ing Talent Champion, recently presented at the Indiana Man- ufacturers Association’s (IMA) 2019 Hall of Fame Luncheon in Indianapolis. IMA Manufac- turing Excellence Awards rec- ognize Indiana manufacturing companies and individuals for their achievements and contri- butions to the industry. Batesville Tool & Die takes an active role at the local, state and national levels for promot- ing and advocating on behalf of the manufacturing industry

Pentaflex Gains Dallas Industries Feed Line
Pentaflex, Springfield, OH, has taken delivery of a new Dallas Industries UnderLoop SpaceSaver servo feed line, Model DRFHDS-648. Pentaflex is a contract manu- facturer of metal stampings and assemblies specializing in heavy-gauge and highly formed components, with pri- mary focus on the medium- duty and Class 8 truck mar- ket. Dallas Industries is a Troy, MI-based manufacturer of coil handling and press feeding equipment, and controls for the stamping industry.
The new line runs steel and aluminum to 0.187 in. thick and 48 in. wide, and to 0.312 in. thick and 12 in. wide, and is rated for coils to 30,000 lb. It has 6-in. rolls and a pull-through straighten- er with 4-in.-dia. rolls and requires only 21 ft. of floor space. To enhance setup time, the feeder passline height, edge guides and coil guide rolls for centering the coil on the uncoiler are auto- matically adjusted to position.
GF Divisions to Add New Facility in Mexico
GF Machining Solutions and GF Piping Systems, Lin- colnshire, IL, announced plans to enhance their direct sales and service support to cus- tomers in Mexico with the opening of a Nuevo Leon joint headquarters.

The Carolina Center represents Amada’s latest major manu- facturing site in the United States, complementing existing manu- facturing centers in Brea, CA, and Batavia, NY. These facilities enable Amada to expedite production and delivery of lasers, press brakes, automated systems and precision tooling. Amada also is extending its reach of customer service and support with the addition of the Carolina Technical Center, which will join the Los Angeles Technical Center and the Schaumburg Solution Cen- ter in providing venues for hands-on demonstrations of Amada’s machine solutions and manufacturing techniques.
The first products manufactured at the new Carolina Center will include automation systems and Amada’s newest line of press brakes, the HRB Series. To supply tooling for the new press brakes manufactured in North Carolina, Amada Tool America recently completed a 19,000-sq.-ft. expansion at its production facility in Batavia, NY.
Solar Atmospheres Constructs New Brazing/Assembly Room
Solar Atmospheres, Hermitage, PA, has completed construc- tion of a new brazing and assembly room. Though built primarily to accommodate a large aluminum brazing project for a specific customer, the room also will be used for other brazing and assembly work. The temperature- and humidity-controlled room provides a clean environment for the critical assembly and alloy- ing methods employed by Solar. All inventories of the clean com- ponents for final assemblies will be safely stored within the new space.
Bob Hill, president of Solar Atmospheres, states, “During suc- cessful development and prototype runs, our customer, along with Solar management, understood that in order to bring this
