Slovakia Plant to Install Fagor Arrasate Blanking Line

to Bring Data Analytics to Manufacturing
Three Manufacturers Merge to Form Robotics Company
A newly formed collabora- tive robotics company, the result of merging three end-of- arm tooling companies—U.S.- based Perception Robotics, Hungary-based OptoForce and Denmark-based OnRobot—will be led by Enrico Krog Iversen, former CEO of Universal Robots, with financial support from the Danish Growth Fund. The new OnRobot, headquar- tered in Denmark, looks to lead the growth of collabora- tive robotics, an industry expected to reach $8.5 billion in sales by 2025.
  Gonvarri Steel Services, headquartered in Madrid, Spain, has ordered the installation of a hybrid blanking line from Fagor Arrasate in Mondragón, Spain, for Gonvarri’s new plant in Slovakia, specializing in aluminum automotive components for the Jaguar Land Rover. The 800-ton line, designated for alu- minum skin and body panels, also processes steel.
Oden Technologies, the Industrial IoT startup that pro- vides manufacturing data ana- lytics, has closed $10 million in Series A funding. Founded in London, England, but now based in New York, NY, Oden Technologies pitches itself as an Industry 4.0 company that built its own industrial IoT hardware and big-data archi- tecture to offer manufacturers a platform for analyzing and optimizing factory production via the cloud.

ECi Software Solutions Acquires Vineyardsoft Corporation
Preco, Inc., Somerset, WI, and HSG Laser, Foshan City, China, have announced the formation of a United States-focused part- nership whereby Preco will demonstrate, sell, install, service and provide technical services for HSG-built industrial fiber laser-cut- ting machines. The menu-driven systems meet U.S. safety stan- dards and are installed, warranted and supported by the Preco team.
Coe Press Equipment, Ster- ling Heights, MI, has delivered four new coil-processing lines to Gill Industries, a Tier-One and -Two auto supplier head- quartered in Grand Rapids, MI. All of the lines are equipped to process cold- rolled steels, as well as advanced high strength steels to 120,000-psi yields.
ECi Software Solutions, a Fort Worth, TX-based provider of cloud-based business man- agement solutions, announced its acquisition of Vineyardsoft Corporation, a provider of busi- ness-activity monitoring (BAM) software, including Knowl- edgeSync for alerts and work- flow. The acquisition allows ECi to make available Knowl- edgeSync to its customer base, while advancing future generations of the product.
Martinrea Debuts New Facility
Martinrea International Inc. celebrated the official grand opening of its new, state-of-the-art technical center located in Auburn Hills, MI. Martinrea’s two-story 108,000-sq.-ft. technical center combines research and development, process and prod- uct engineering, and testing capabilities for all of its business units. The new facility features open meeting spaces for team col- laboration, a fitness center, outdoor patio and electric-vehicle- charging stations. The building also touts a slide connecting the second and first floors.
Two lines are installed at the Trenton, GA, facility and one in Grand Rapids.

Engineered Material Handling (EMH) has announced a strate- gic partnership with Gloning Krantechnik GmbH of Stödtlen, Ger- many. This makes Gloning responsible for servicing and support- ing in Europe the complete line of EMH overhead material-handling products, including overhead cranes, worksta- tion cranes and crane kits.
Bystronic, Elgin, IL, has announced its acquisition of 70 percent of the shares of Antil S.p.A., headquartered in Milan, Italy. Antil’s portfolio includes loading and unload- ing systems for laser-cutting and punching machines, auto- mated sheetmetal storage systems and robot-assisted bending solutions.
One of Mexico’s premier growth regions, Querétaro, with many automotive companies and suppliers, is home to Schuler’s third facility in Mexi- co. Located half way between Puebla in the South and Saltil- lo in the North, the new loca- tion includes a showroom for live customer demonstrations.
