Bosch Rexroth has unveiled a detailed guide to adopting Industry 4.0 that avoids a negative impact on current production. The report, A Practical Roadmap for the Implementation of Industry 4.0, argues that Industry 4.0 is an evolution, not a revolution, and includes practical sugges- tions for a three-step approach, supporting the steady implementation of connected manufacturing technologies, bolting sensors and hardware to existing pro- duction infrastructure.

                              Pferd Inc., Milwaukee, WI, a manufacturer of abrasives, brushes and power tools, appointed John Hibbard as regional sales manager, West- ern United States. Hibbard will report to Jon-Michael Ray- mond, vice president, sales. Hibbard will be responsible for all sales management efforts in the regions. He replaces Ross Bevacqua, a 16-year Pferd veteran who is retiring Jan. 31. The West Region is comprised of Alas- ka, Hawaii, Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, Colorado, California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota and Washington.
