Newly formed Forming Sim- ulation Technology LLC, Northville, MI, is providing design and analysis services for stamped and hydroformed parts. The company, online at www.formingsimulation.com, was founded by Jeanne He Dubois, who says that FST can provide services on products ranging from Class-A panels to the smallest parts in the auto- motive/industrial product spectrum. FST is a certified distributor of LSTC/LS-Dyna sheetmetal-simulation software.
The deal is expected to close within two months. Exact will continue to focus on growing its core global solu- tion portfolio consisting of Exact Online, Exact Globe and Exact Synergy.

   A new company, A & O Sup- pliers, LLC, Woodbury, CT, is producing pullout-holdout devices for the metal-stamp- ing industry. Mounted on stamping presses or press brakes, and connected to the machines’ slides, the safety devices modify the slide motion across connections to operators’ wrists.

 The connection is designed to ensure that an operator’s hands are not in the path of descending tools. The devices are available from A & O, which notes that they are manufactured in accordance with OEM specifications.
Exact Group BV, Delft, Netherlands, a developer of cloud business software for manufacturing and other industries, agreed to sell its specialized solutions division, including Macola, JobBoss and Max, to private-equity investment group Funds Advised by Apax. Apax will combine the three ERP soft- ware units, each of which tar- gets a specific sector of the manufacturing and distribu- tion market, with ECi Software Solutions, Inc., Fort Worth, TX, a provider of business soft- ware for small- to medium- sized organizations.
