Chip and Parts Conveyor in Action
Bunting Magnetics Co. will showcase its MagSlide chip and parts conveyor at IMTS 2016. Materials that punish tra-
ditional belted and steel- hinged conveyors—dirty,
oily parts, sharp and
jagged scrap and the like —are easily and effectively
transported with the MagSlide. Instead of rely-
ing on a moving belt to carry ferrous scrap,
the MagSlide enlists moving high-energy
ceramic or rare-earth magnets hidden beneath a stainless- steel slider bed to move the parts along the surface.
The most attractive features of the MagSlide conveyor are those that the operator can’t see. For example, there are no external conveyor belts to jam, tear or wear out, or external moving parts to fail, compromising safety and pro- ductivity. Except for the motor, all moving parts are totally enclosed. Twin roller-drive chains hold and move the mag- nets while travelling in Bunting’s exclusive oil-impregnated SlideTrack Channel. The channel provides constant lubrica- tion to help minimize maintenance, friction, chain wear and noise.
Models include straight horizontal, horizontal-to-incline and a nose-over style for extending over scrap dumpsters. If space is an issue, Bunting also provides low-profile and mobile-base units.

          Efficient, Sustainable Industrial Parts Cleaning
Industrial parts cleaning is important to achieve the necessary cleanliness require- ments, either for preparation for following processes or to produce high-quality and functional parts. Additionally, it is all about performing the cleaning processes in an efficient and sustainable manner.
Our comprehensive range of cleaning equipment on display at IMTS provides sys- tems for virtually all types of cleaning tasks, for parts made of metal, plastic or glass. From rough to intermediate to ultrafine cleaning, our systems not only provide an improved cleaning quality and a higher process reliabili- ty, but also guarantee cost and resource sav- ings. They can reliably and efficiently remove oil, grease, emulsions and chips.
Whether in machining or metalforming,
when oil-free surfaces must be obtained, environmentally safe solvents (hydrocarbon or modified alcohol) are the cleaning media of choice. With its EcoCCore system on dis- play at IMTS, Dürr Ecoclean will present an innovative machine capable of cleaning and vapor degreasing using non-halogenated hydrocarbons or modified alcohols.
