resistant and lubricious coating, the proprietary SuperMax coat- ing acts as a barrier between the punch and sheetmetal. Com- pared to previous coatings, it reportedly provides more hits between sharpenings, which reduces machine downtime. It also reduces galling, slug pulling and corner breakdown.
PPG Industries’ industrial coatings business, Pittsburgh, PA, has introduced Corrokleen 44 rust remover, an application- friendly citric-acid-based gel cleaner that proves effective at removing rust and mill scale, while being safe for users and the environment. Formulated without phos- phates and other strong acids, Corro- Kleen 44 features a shear-thinning gel structure for simple spray application, and a low-shear thixotropy that adheres the product to surfaces.
