Stewart EFI Expands Manufacturing Operations in CT
Nelson Steel and Butech Bliss are partnering to build a push-pull pickling line at Steel Dynamic’s facility in Butler, IN. The company’s existing hot-band finishing line in Butler is undergoing an upgrade that will enable it to convert hot-band steel to hot-rolled pickled and oiled coils in thicknesses to 3⁄8 in. and widths to 64 in. at speeds to 600 ft./min. The line will retain its ability to level and side-trim hot-band coils when required, by bypassing the pickling line.
Amada to Open Satellite Center in Columbus, OH
Stewart EFI, LLC has added 12,000 sq. ft. to its existing manufacturing operations in Thomaston, CT, bringing the total facility to 90,000 sq. ft. This expansion adds space necessary to incorporate larg- er-sized presses, resulting from increasing customer demands for larger-sized pre- cision stamped and drawn metal components.
