The San Antonio electro- coating facility achieved a zero PPM on Tier One Toyota busi- ness for all of 2013, as it did in 2012.
The Ashland Aluminum processing facility in Fowlerville, MI (40 miles east of Detroit), is flush with recent technology upgrades—an energy-efficient furnace, new electronics, upgraded gauge controls and environmental improvements. Its rolling mill provides coil in three alloys— 1100, 3003 and 5052, from 0.010 to 0.190 in. thick and 4.00 to 20.00 in. wide.

Toyota Recognizes MetoKote Corp.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch recently named the Baldor metal-stamping plant in St. Louis, MO, a 2014 Top Work- place. The plant, which sup- plies stamped parts for five Baldor U.S. motor-manufactur- ing facilities, produces more than 700 million steel lamina- tions and 5 million motor parts per year, and employs 250 workers. The Top Work- place program is based on surveys of company employ- ees. Baldor employees relayed to company managers, via the survey, their appreciation for the firm’s no-layoff strategy, profit-sharing plan and tuition- reimbursement program.
