5:48-min.-long video telling the tale of the Marlin Steel Wire, Baltimore, MD. Recog- nized as a Pioneer Employer by the foundation in partner- ship with the Precision Metal- forming Association, Marlin Steel Wire faced, in the early 2000s, the possibility of shutting down. The video gives an inside look at how presi- dent Drew Greenblatt and his team turned the business around—eight consecutive years of growth, enabling it to expand beyond fabricating bagel-baking baskets to sup- plying leading OEMs like Boe- ing and Caterpillar.
The essence of its trans- formation, says Greenblatt: “Quality, engineered quick.” Watch as employees explain the firm’s innovative skills matrix, and how they are incentified to learn new skills
and hit production goals. Access the video and its accompanying blog post on The Hitachi Foundation web- site at tinyurl.com/moaqmoc.
