New Press Lineup from Nidec Minster
Nidec Minster Corp., Minster, OH, introduces its MMC line- up of mechanical stamping presses to markets in North and South America. The machines will be manufactured by Ningbo CFG Machinery Co.,
Ningbo, China. MMC
presses are avail-
able as single- and
two-point gap- and
unitized-frame
straightsides, and
a full complement
of tie-rod construc-
tion straightside
machines with
crankshaft or eccen-
tric-geared drives in
two- or four-point
configurations to
1200-ton capacity.
All machines
meet or exceed JIS
Class 1 accuracy standards, and are equipped with a variety of features to help improve productivity, including wet clutch and brake (most models), hydraulic overload protection, moni- tored automatic lubrication and Wintriss-brand controls as stan- dard. In addition, many straightside models feature double-geared drives for high torque and working energy, and full eight-point gibbing for maximum tooling life and improved part quality. Adaptive Laser-Cutting System
Delivers Productivity, with
Consistent Processing Accuracy
LVD Strippit, Akron, NY, introduces the adaptive laser cutting (ALC) system, technology that provides real-time monitoring and feedback control of the laser-cutting process. ALC uses a dynam- ic feedback system to monitor and regulate laser power, cut- ting speed and assist-gas pressure in real time during the cut- ting process, automatically optimizing cutting parameters and ensuring a consistently accurate cut.
This system is particularly useful when processing thicker steels in an unmanned environment, company officials say, because in such applications machine speed often is restricted
