Troy Welcomes New Headquarters for Tier One Automotive Stamper/Welder
Detroit Engineered Products (DEP) and Autoline Industries USA have offi- cially christened their new global corpo- rate headquarters in Troy, MI. The two companies are subsidiaries of Autoline Industries Ltd., based in India. Autoline is a Tier One supplier of stamped and welded mechanical assemblies, includ- ing pedal assemblies, door hinges and strikers, parking-brake systems and hood latches. DEP, a manufacturer of parametric CAE software, also provides engineering-consulting services.
Taylor-Winfield Seam Welders Headed To Chinese Stainless-Steel Supplier
Taylor-Winfield Technologies, Inc., Youngstown, OH, will supply four of its TwinLap narrow-gap seam-welding machines to Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. (Tisco), Taiyuan, China. The coil-end welders will support Tisco’s cold-rolled silicon-steel production line, the first of its kind in China.

North Texas Metal Spinning, LLC, Fort Worth, TX, is open for business. The firm is a joint venture between Wayne Boeck- man, of WJB Holdings, Fort Worth, and Joe Glenn, Glenn Metalcraft Inc., Prince- ton, NJ.
Louisiana to Welcome New Hot-Rolling Tube Mill
Caddo, LA, will be the new home of a $900 million hot-rolling tube mill, to be built by Germany’s Benteler Steel/Tube. The mill will employ an estimated 675 full-time workers when at full capacity. Benteler will ramp-up tube production in the United States to meet growing demand driven by the renewed focus by
the U.S. government to reduce energy imports and increase production of crude oil and natural gas.
Plate/Sheet Distributor Adds New Machining Equipment
TCI Precision Metals, Gardena, CA, has beefed up its equipment list to meet increased customer demand for medium to large machined parts. New to the pro- duction floor at the warehouse distribu- tor of plate and sheet: a Hyundai-Kia KBN135 79- by 71-in. horizontal machin- ing center, and an Honor Seiki vertical turning center with a 79-in. turning diam- eter and 49-in. turning height.

Metal stamper and fabricator Dayton Rogers Manufacturing Company, Min- neapolis, MN, was named Midsize Man- ufacturer of the Year at the 2012 Min- nesota Manufacturing Awards. The award is sponsored by Associated Bank, the Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association and Baker Tilly Virchow Krause. Dayton Rogers operates six stamping and metal-fabrication facilities totaling more than 280,000 sq. ft.
