Add Cutting-System Muscle
Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc., Cleve- land, OH, acquired three business units from ITT Corp.: Kaliburn, Burny and Cleveland Motion Controls (CMC). Kaliburn manufactures shape-cutting machines; Burny produces cutting con- trol systems; and CMC provides web-ten- sion transducers and engineered machine solutions. All three businesses are consolidated in a headquarters and manufacturing operation in Landson, SC, employing 140 people and with com- bined annual sales of $35 million.

Ohio Laser Dedicates New Facility
Contract tube, sheet and plate fabri- cator Ohio Laser LLC, Plain City, OH, has officially dedicated its new 26,000-sq.-ft. facility, expanding its capacity by more than 36 percent. Its laser-processing equipment peaks at 6000 W, for cutting plate to 1 in. thick; maximum sheet size is 80 by 160 in. And, its Trumpf Tube- matic tube- and pipe-cutting machine can accommodate oval, rectangular, round and square tubes, with capacity to 10-in.-dia. rounds. Other services offered include press-brake bending, welding and machining.
Omax Expansion a Boon to Training, R & D and Engineering
Waterjet-equipment manufacturer Omax Corp., Kent, WA, will add 22,000 sq. ft. to its corporate campus to extend its training, engineering and research and development efforts. Following the expansion, the firm will occupy 130,000 sq. ft. of space spread across three buildings.
