 Safety Glasses Boast Bifocal Segments with Prescription Insert
Wizard Industries, Sebastopol, CA, introduces Versa Specs ANSI-compliant safety glasses with five different inter- changeable lenses, including lenses with built-in bifocal reading segments. Wizard Versa Specs feature an assortment of polycarbonate lenses with integrated sides shields. The glasses provide pro- tection from the front and sides while offer- ing the easy ability to change between clear, yellow, gray and bifocals, and a spe- cial pair of prescription insert lenses.
The special interchangeable bifocal
lenses are optically clear when looking straight ahead. When looking down they provide cor- rection through the integrated 28-mm flat-top bifocal segment. They are available in +1.0, +1.5, +2.0, +2.5 and +3.0 diopter strengths. The lens- es also provide 99.9 percent UV pro- tection up to 380 nm, and are scratch
resistant.

MIOSHA and PMA Renew Alliance
The Precision Metalforming Associa- tion (PMA) and the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) renewed their formal alliance to help pro- tect the safety and health of Michigan workers in the metalforming industry.
The alliance provides a working rela- tionship between MIOSHA, PMA, and
the PMA East and West Michigan Dis- tricts, to develop and disseminate infor- mation that helps protect the safety and health of Michigan workers through outreach and communication, as well as influence employers and management to ensure that safety is viewed as a prior- ity in the workplace.
The signing ceremony was hosted by E&E Manufacturing at its Plymouth, MI, facility.
Among the goals of the alliance: Reduce and prevent exposure to ergonom- ic hazards, and address press safety issues such as machine guarding and lockout/tagout to prevent amputations and other injuries; and create and devel- op training resources and other materi- als to promote worker safety in the met- alforming industry.
