Stand-Alone Safety Controller Delivers Flexibility and Power Pepperl+Fuchs, Twinsburg, OH, introduces the
VAS-2A8L-KE4-8SE programmable safety con- troller—cost-effective, adaptable and easy to install, configure and run. The device, say com- pany officials, bridges the gap between low-end safety relays that can’t adapt to evolving appli- cation needs, and high-end options designed for larger systems and too costly for smaller appli- cations. The safety controller provides four redundant safe inputs and two independent safe electronic outputs; an expansion port enables the controller to grow with the application. It runs on standard 24 VDC and allows any safe device with dry contacts or electronic safe outputs to be used.
