Future Products Adds Makino High-Speed Wire EDM
Die-tooling and machined-components manufacturer Future Products, Clawson, MI, has added a Makino DUO43 CNC wire EDM
to its stable of equip- ment. The machine boasts a 28- by 22-in. work table and 17.7- in. X axis, 11.8-in. Y axis and 12.6-in. Z axis. The machine fea- tures high wire-ten-
sion technology developed for opti- mum shape accuracy, says Makino literature, particularly in corner geometry. Positioning accuracy and repeatability are rated at ±0.00006 in. (full stroke) in 1.6-in.- thick tool-steel plate; roundness accuracy is ±0.0002 in. in 1.6-in. plate with a 0.8-
