Oscillating Shear Die
a Hit at Chrysler Plant
in Mexico
A high-speed blanking press at the Chrysler de Mex- ico facility in Saltillo has a new partner—a 72-in.-wide oscillating shear die from Coe Press Equipment Corp., Sterling Heights, MI, capable of achieving line speeds to 300 ft./min. and hit rates to 60 strokes/min. The shear die operates alongside a Komatsu blanking press and offers a range of ±48 deg. Other features include a piv- oting entrance support trans- fer table, self-centering edge guides, shock-dampening control, wedge-type blade-gap adjustment and a self-pivot- ing exit conveyor.
RoboVent Moves
to New Facility
Air-filtration-system manu- facturer RoboVent has moved to a new facility in Sterling Heights, MI. The firm manufactures systems for handling welding fumes.

Mate Precision Tooling, Anoka, MN, appointed Frank Baeumier vice president of business development, hav- ing previously served the firm as vice president of Euro- pean operations and manag- ing director of Mate Precision Tooling GmbH, and before that as international market- ing manager. The company also named Wei Sun sales manager of its new sales office in Shanghai, China.
Mr. Sun will manage dealer and direct-sales development in China and Hong Kong. The firm manufactures original and replacement tooling for CNC punch presses.
