  Letter to the Editor
Dear Mr. Kuvin:
I just finished reading Ray Proeber’s article in the Febru- ary 2011 issue of MetalForming (The Past, Present and Future of Die Design, pp. 32-35). Ray touched on several key aspects of the tooling industry, including explaining how the role of the designer has grown over the years. I particu- larly enjoyed the references to how we used to do things in the “good ‘ol days,” compared to the standards we use today.
Great job!
