WayneTrailTechnologies, Inc.
Flexible, Modular Solutions for a Host of Laser-Processing Applications
In early 2002, Wayne Trail Technologies and VIL Laser Systems joined forces to strengthen their collective market presence in the laser-processing arena. Augmenting VIL’s long history in the design and supply of linear and multiaxis laser-welding systems for tailored blanks, the team at Wayne Trail Technologies launched a major effort to develop an innovative, flexible and modular range of laser- based workcells to bring the reality of cost-effective, easy to oper- ate laser-processing systems into the hands of many. Today, sys- tems such as Flex Lase, Flex Cut and Flex Weld are becoming well-known process solutions for operations including laser weld- ing and cutting, laser brazing, cladding, heat treating, marking, ablation and de-painting. Markets and customers include automo-
tive, appliance, HVAC and aerospace, as well as emerging green-technology applications such as lithium-ion battery manufacturing and parts and assemblies for solar- and wind- power manufacturers.
In addition to the highly popular Flex Lase universal laser- processing cell, VIL/Wayne Trail has recently launched a new, high-speed, high-accuracy product called Flex Lase Pro, which combines the power and capability of a solid-state, single- or multi-mode fiber laser with the speed and accuracy of a large field-of-view 3D galvo-based scanner. It’s all completely inte- grated into a compact, easy-to-deploy, Class 1-rated fully self- contained platform. Flex Lase Pro is ideally suited for proto- typing, process development and production across a variety of precision applications.
Wayne Trail Technologies is an ISO-9001:2008 certified supplier that pro- vides sophisticated automation and process solutions into several market technology segments, including press automation, tube bending and fabricat- ing, hydroforming and structural frame automation, robotics/welding/fixturing, laser-processing systems, integrated systems and build-to-print manufacturing services. With more than 110,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space, a combined staff of more than 145 people, and a service team capable of providing 24/7 support to installation sites around the world, Wayne Trail Technologies is well equipped to handle any size project, regardless of complexity, process or installation location.
