Misumi USA Moves to
New North American HQ
Die and mold component manufacturer Misumi USA, Inc. has moved into a new corporate headquarters facility in Schaumburg, IL. The new location accommo- dates the company’s entire Factory Automation and Die, Mold and Press divi- sions, and allows for further expansion.
Motoman Robotics
on the Move
Yaskawa America, Inc. announced that its Motoman Robotics division will move to a new 300,000-sq.-ft. office and production facility to be built just south of Dayton. Construction began in July 2010 with a move-in date of June 2011. The new North American headquar- ters for Motoman Robotics will combine its current Ohio locations in West Car- rolton and Troy, and house 250 to 275 employees.
Oberg Makes Moves

in Mexico
Oberg Industries, Freeport, PA, has renamed its Mexican operation and moved to a new location in Tecate, Mexico. The compa- ny’s First Latin American Corp. has merged with Oberg Industries, Inc., and will operate as Oberg Mexi- co. Its new location—a 56,000-sq.-ft. facility in the El Bajio Industrial Park

Volkswagen announced plans to invest another $1 billion over the next three years in its Puebla manu- facturing complex. Included is the purchase of two Dief- fenbacher tryout presses (16,000 and 25,000 kN models) for its tool-making department. The lower-ton- nage model will include a 4000-kN four-point drawing cushion and a 3200-kN ram cushion. And, the bigger press will allow the plant to simulate mechanical pro- duction presses when trying out body dies.

Modular-tooling-system manufacturer Bilsing Automation has increased its distributor network, added engineering staff at its U.S. office in Clinton Township, MI, and expand- ed its manufacturing capa- bilities with a new facility in Germany. At its Michigan office, the firm added Michael Froehlich as an inhouse tooling engineer, with expertise in 3D mechanical design and per- forming automation feasibil- ity studies.

The software, from Plex Systems, Auburn Hills, MI, integrates Inovo’s finan- cial-related functions— accounts receivables and payable and inventory man- agement—and its production systems—quality control, engineering-change controls, and corrective and preventive action systems.
