Also on the upswing is Ice Industries, whose stamping, welding and assembly plant in Mason, OH, is busy preparing to launch a major contract to supply 13 differ- ent oil-pan part numbers for Navistar. The plant will manufacture nine current part numbers and is build- ing dies and tooling for four additional oil pans for the 2010 fiscal year.
Midwest Stamper Adds 600-Ton Minster to its Stable
Performance Stamping Co., Carpentersville, IL, has acquired a 600-ton, 144-in. Minster Hevi-Stamper large- bed mechanical press. The firm operates out of an 80,000-sq.-ft. facility, with automated press lines featur- ing high-speed servo feeds and programmable die lubri- cation systems. Markets served include appliance, automotive, computer, den- tal and electric motors.
