QDC Clamp for Dies with a Flat Edge
Serapid, Inc., Ster- ling Heights,
MI, intro-
duces the PSH
C-clamp to its
line of quick-die-
change clamps. The
PSH, designed to work
with dies with a flat edge,
mounts on a T-profiled base to form a bracket device, which then is manually inserted into a slot on a press bolster or slide. During an automated die change, the clamp head alone can be mounted
permanently on the press.
The clamp is hydraulically activated
and opened with a spring, and comes in a variety of force ratings from 20 to 100 kN. Clamping height can be indi- vidually configured through the height of the base piece or through the use of
a custom-sized spacer.
