Toyotetsu Goes Live With Plex
Plex Systems, a Troy, MI- based provider of cloud ERP and MES software, has announced that Toyotetsu America, Inc. (TTAI), a Tier One supplier for Toyota, Subaru, Nissan and Mazda, now runs two facilities in North America on the Plex manufacturing cloud. An additional six facili- ties will go live by 2020 in the United States, Canada and Mexico, with Plex forming the foundation of Toyotetsu’s smart manufacturing strategy.
Solar Atmospheres Orders 12-ft Vacuum Furnace
Solar Atmospheres, a Souderton, PA-based heat
treating company, announced plans to add a new 12-ft.-long car-bottom vacuum furnace with advanced pumping sys- tem and rapid cooling capa- bility at its Greenville, SC, facility.
The 144-in.-deep by 54- in.-wide by 54-in.-high horizon- tal vacuum furnace, capable of processing loads to 50,000 lb. and made by sister compa- ny Solar Manufacturing, is scheduled for an early 2020 installation.
