Now in its third year, the Grainger Tools for Tomorrow technical-education scholarship program offered by W.W. Grainger, Inc., Chicago, IL, developed in partnership with the American Association of Community Colleges, has been expanded from its original list of nine community colleges to include 35 colleges across the United States. The program provides funding for students at select community colleges to help them complete their second year of a technical-career program.
“The economic health of America depends on the availability of qualified, skilled workers,” says Grainger president and CEO James T. Ryan. Upon completion of their program of study, each scholarship winner receives a tool kit to help them begin their professional career.
