Additive Industries Teams With GKN Aerospace's New Technology Center

GKN Aerospace has announced plans for its new Global Technology Center (GTC) in Bristol, England. Expected to open in 2020, the 108,000-sq.-ft. facility will have 300 skilled engineers, and collaborative space for research and development. The center will focus on additive manufacturing, advanced composites, assembly and industry 4.0 processes for production of aircraft structures.
The GTC complements Additive Industries’ Competence Center, also in the United Kingdom.“Additive Industries is proud to be part of GKN Aerospace’s Global Technology Center and is committed to collaborate with all partners involved to accelerate industrialization of aerospace applications in additive manufacturing,” says Additive Industries CEO Daan A.J. Kersten.
