GDIS 2024: Abstract-Submission Deadline Extended to February 9

The deadline to submit abstracts for the 22nd annual Great Designs in Steel (GDIS) symposium, Wednesday, May 22, 2024, in Novi, MI, has been extended to February 9.

Reportedly the world’s longest-running automotive materials conference, GDIS, presented by the American Iron and Steel Institute, brings together automotive and steel industry experts for a day-long exhibition and presentation event. Featured are dozens of tracks related to material developments and applications of interest to auto-industry professionals. 

To submit a GDIS 2024 abstract, download and complete the short submission form. Abstracts should be 200-300 words and present new advancements, including significant facts and results achieved.

Email completed forms to present@greatdesignsinsteel.com no later than Friday, February 9, at 5 p.m. ET to be considered. Topics include but are not limited to sustainability, lightweighting, advanced high-strength steel, ultra-high-strength steel, joining, steel engineering, and innovative use of steel and enabling technologies for new vehicles.
