Rootstock Software has announced the appointment of Robert Rostamizadeh to the newly formed position of chief technology officer (CTO). In this role, Rostamizadeh will set the technological direction of the company, leading product development and software engineering, including the company’s flagship software, Rootstock Manufacturing Cloud ERP.

With more than 15 years’ experience in software engineering leadership, including most recently as executive vice president of engineering at Smarsh, Rostamizadeh plans to institute a more agile development methodology with the goal to enhance product quality, increase transparency and more efficiently deliver value to customers.

“Built on the Salesforce platform, Rootstock Manufacturing Cloud ERP has a significant advantage in unifying data silos,” says Rostamizadeh. “As such, our product and engineering team can remain focused on developing and delivering the functionality that matters most to manufacturers—and not on data integration.”

Says Jeff Ralyea, interim chief executive officer and executive chairman of the board at Rootstock Software: "Robert’s appointment as CTO reflects his outstanding track record and expertise in engineering, as well as his deep understanding of the business side of technology.”
