Prima-power-platino-linear-laser-cuttingPrima Power officials refer to the firm’s new Platino Linear 2D laser-cutting machine as catering specifically to small and medium-sized businesses and dynamic production operations. Designed with entry-level fabricators in mind, officials say, the Platino Linear offers a compact footprint, reportedly occupying 22% less space than other machines in its category.

The machine features a maintenance-free linear-drive system that promises to minimize downtime and associated costs, optimizing operational uptime. A cantilever architecture and open-design cabin provides complete access to the work area, and a synthetic granite frame absorbs vibration and provides thermal stability. An aluminum carriage minimizes the weight of moving components without sacrificing rigidity.

Other machine features include Smart Cut and Gas Mixer Cut to optimize operations, reducing cycle times by as much as 30%, officials note, and enhancing cut quality. The Prima Eco-Touch Cut feature reduces gas consumption by as much as 40%, contributing to sustainability; and the Adaptive Cut feature automatically adjusts focus and beam diameter for different materials. Lastly, the Safe Impact Protection System prevents damage from collisions.
