Dallas Industries Delivers Servo-Feed Line to Challenge Manufacturing

Dallas Industries, Troy, MI, a manufacturer of coil-handling and press-feeding equipment and controls, has delivered a servo-feed line to metal stamper Challenge Manufacturing, Walker, MI. The line features a DRFHDS-530 cabinet-mounted servo feed with five-roll pull-through straightener. The straightener includes powered pinch rolls, air-operated upper pinch roll, and an automatic air clutch to disengage the pinch rolls when the feeder is in automatic mode. It is rated for coils to 30 in. wide (full width) for sheet to 0.170 in. thick, and for ¼-in.-thick sheet (maximum thickness) at 12-in. wide.  Also featured: an Allen-Bradley, Ethernet-based control architecture with Dallas’ ProfileSelect feed-control system.
