The Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), American Welding Society (AWS), Fabricators & Manufacturers Association International (FMA) and Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) have formed an alliance to bring together their respective trade shows beginning with the 2009 exhibition, to be held November 15-18, 2009, at McCormick Place, Chicago, IL.

The new combined mega-show will offer a single exhibition where attendees can access the latest stamping, forming, fabricating, assembly and welding technologies, and can cost-effectively evaluate innovations and new technologies. The combined events will result in a single, must-see annual exhibition to serve the needs of manufacturers in North America and suppliers of materials, equipment and services in the technologies of metal stamping, forming and fabricating, tube and pipe, welding and cutting, and related processes.

While the first official combined exhibition will take place in November 2009, the 2008 FABTECH International and AWS Welding Show will feature a stamping pavilion rebranded as the METALFORM pavilion. The exhibition is scheduled for October 6-8, 2008, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV.
