The recent pandemic has changed manufacturing plant floors and supply chains. Manufacturing companies had to make pivots they never dreamed of. Auto manufactures and their suppliers are producing ventilators, factory floors are required to operate at increased capacity with fewer people, and daily business operations are conducted from home offices.

How were companies able to make these operational and supply chain changes quickly and never miss a beat in day-to-day operations?

Jeff Hohlfeldt, Vice President at North Industrial Manufacturing, explains how they successfully leveraged their technology platform to:

  • Digitally connect suppliers, customers, and employees
  • Transmit supply chain transactions and communication electronically
  • Enhance the production schedule to reduce human-to-human interaction and still meet delivery dates
  • Optimize utilization of “precious” labor and material resources
  • Ensure compliance with new federal and local workforce safety regulations
