AI-Based Quality Process at New BMW Press Shop

Here’s a quick (less than 1 min.) look at BMW’s all-new, fully automated press shop in Debrecen, Hungary, that can produce as many 10,000 parts/day for the 2026 BMW iX3 all-electric SUV.  Labeled a closed-loop system, as much as 60 tons of sheet metal scrap is collected and recycled  from the line daily.  

Also explained: the shop’s artificial-intelligence (AI)-driven quality-control process, part of BMW’s iFACTORY AI concept used throughout the factory to digitally plan and simulate production processes.
