SOLUTIONS
Need an odd size or quantity of high carbon and alloy flat bars that aren’t commonly stocked? Don’t sweat it. We can make it, and fast. We turn our specialty grade sheet, plate, and coil into custom bar sizes all day long. Don’t settle for bundles of sheared sticks.
Let Admiral’s high-precision 3 dimensional steel processing capabilities re-shape our raw material into your finished bar product. From one piece to 10,000, in alloy or high carbon, Admiral has solutions, not excuses.

facturing floor—with everything grouped together.
For a job shop with multiple customers running the same materials, different parts can be nested together to best utilize material. This reduces material cost and time spent by operators having to pull the materials, while still ending up with all of the needed parts at the end of the day. The ability to achieve a workflow that allows Customer A and
Customer B orders to process together is a game-changer. MF: Looking ahead, where do you see software advance- ment taking metal formers and fabricators in terms of work-
flow and the shop environment?
AV: We will see a greater ability to group multiple jobs.
With ERP software feeding into the nesting software, we are driving to a point where the actual controls on the machines will say, "OK, ERP software, I have completed this job. You now can process the invoice, prepare shipping labels and notify the company that its order will be ready for pickup at this time tomorrow." ERP and nesting software interact as never before. Moving forward, software systems will drive more of the processes.
MF: What does the future hold for nesting options?
AV: I believe that we will see multiple integrated sources inputting into one nest option and grouping different cus- tomers together for greater efficiency. Algorithms will improve, and nestings will tighten and process faster due to quicker computers. MF
