 Design Your Next Press
 Beckwood Press Co. Booth A5448
Beckwood Press will introduce its Launch virtual-press design platform. The offering uses real-time data to gen- erate concept drawings onsite. Visitors can work with Beckwood’s solutions team at the Launch simulator to input variables such as bed size, tonnage, speed and heat parameters, in order to bring their ideas to life on the show floor.
The company also will feature fluid-
cell and deep-draw-sheet hydroforming demonstrations using a Triform model 610- 20-3SC. Sheet hydroforming presses use a single, unmated tool and a pressurized rubber diaphragm to form parts with smooth, uniform, scratch-free surfaces that typically require no additional finishing. The presses are for low-volume, high-mix part production. www.beckwoodpress.com

Accurate Die Design Software will showcase its expertise in die simulation (die kinematics) and dynamic-interfer- ence detection using Logopress3. Pro- gressive and transfer dies are proven interference-free in less than an hour in many cases, reducing setup time and eliminating costly redesign issues. Varying progressions through the transfer die are simulated along with stock lift at stations. Rotation of the part is sim- ulated as is every other function, includ- ing cams. Simulated machines include servo and link-motion presses, and
Puritan Magnetics will show its belt-free magnetic conveyors, designed to convey stamping scrap, knockouts, or chips and turnings from lathes, mills, presses or other metal-working machinery. The virtually maintenance-free, belt-free design is said to eliminate the associated jamming, tearing and premature wear with belt-type conveyors. Internal magnetic assemblies attached to the heavy-duty roller chain travel around the inside of the conveyor body. The magnetic field projects through the stainless- steel conveying surface, attracting parts or scrap to its surface. As the magnet assemblies travel inside, the ferrous objects are conveyed externally along the stainless steel slider bed until they are discharged. www.puritanmagnetics.com

multislide equipment. Booth demonstrations will show the die-design software’s capabilities, which include flattening, blank prediction, nesting and strip layout (including round-draw features). The software is SolidWorks-certified. www.diedesignsoftware.com
