Quintus Appoints CNI-Consultamex as Mexico Agent
“Our new headquarters and tech center is a testament to the growth that we have realized over the past several years,” says Dr. Jeffrey Ahrstrom, president and COO. “The showroom alone is as large as our current building. We’re excited to be able to let our customers see in person a more comprehensive repre- sentation of our product line.”
Locally, the facility will operate as Lacsher Technolo- gies and be managed by Arian Zavala, a veteran of Mexico's industrial-laser community.
Alro, headquartered in Jackson, MI, has more than 60 locations in 12 states.

Dry-Lube Capability for Heidtman Pickling Line
Quintus manufactures hot and cold isostatic presses, from small lab units to high- volume production systems used for advanced material densification, along with a full family of fluid-cell presses— rectangular, circular, and deep-draw hydroforming.
The BC80 is ideal for cut- to-length, chamfering, facing and part measurement for continuous production of bushings. The unit provides in-process part measure- ment and 100-percent part- length inspection with detailed SPC reporting. The CM602 is ideal for cutting short and medium-length steel, copper, brass and alu- minum tubes, solid bars and profiles. It can handle tube and bar to 4 in. dia. depend- ing on material, and cuts at speeds to 5000 rpm.
The new location in Mon- terrey provides excellent logis- tics resources, and is better positioned to serve the rest of the country with services and deliveries, according to com- pany officials. In addition to being the company’s cus- tomer-service and spare- parts hub, the facility also is home to Bystronic Mexico sales and training opera- tions. The showroom will be equipped to provide live product demonstrations for Bystronic’s laser-cutting and press-brake bending equip- ment, as well as the BySoft 7 suite of software. Onsite classrooms will offer hands- on training and both stan- dard and customized cours- es for programmers, machine operators and maintenance personnel.
The new capability repre- sents the third upgrade the steel service center has made to this pickling line in the last five years. The line, which includes a continuous inspec- tion system, can handle mate- rial to 0.625 in. thick by 72 in. wide.
