Precision Tube Bending via All-Electric Machines
     Unison Booth N2055
Unison, Asheville, NC, demonstrates the capabilities of all-electric machines designed
Right-first-time, scrap-free pro- duction demonstrations are given on a machine capable of bending tube diameters to 4 in. In addition to the benefits of the all-electric archi- tecture, with its software-controlled setup and servo-motor-powered bending precision, the demonstra- tion machine is equipped with Uni- son’s laser-based springback-cor- rection system. This unique system
to lower the costs of CNC precision tube bending.
There are many factors that affect how well your stampings run.
Choosing the best lubricant is a very important one.

Laser Chiller/Dust-Collector Combo
Tri-Mer Corp. Booth N11088
Tri-Mer Corp., Owosso, MI, exhibits a combination
chiller/dust collector for laser operations. The system has
an air-cooled chiller for heavy-service laser heads and optics,
and its plug-and-play features minimize setup. Its MERV 16
filters are 99.999-percent efficient on 0.5-μ and larger par-
ticles; and the dust collector has continuous-duty pulse-jet
cleaning. Other products include the Tri-Flow submicron fil-
ter system that delivers HEPA performance and reportedly
provides a superior alternative to bags and cartridges. The
Whirl Wet dust collector is 99-percent-plus efficient for a range of applications and micron sizes. www.tri-mer.com
Paul Lachance, president of Smartware Group, Center Harbor, NH, joins Josh Davids, president and CEO of Scytec, Greenwood Village, CO, for a joint presentation, “Machine Monitoring and Data Collection for Maintenance Optimization.” The talk will walk manufacturers through the process of feeding rich streams of data from smart machine monitors into a computerized maintenance-management system (CMMS) for monitor- ing and reporting, all using today’s cloud technologies.
Scytec is the producer of DataXchange, a cloud-based manufacturing-process- control, data-collection and machine-monitoring system. The data collected by DataX- change can be synced in real-time with modern CMMS, such as Smartware Group’s Bigfoot, to assist manufacturers with aggregating and analyzing data for better asset management—and improved performance for machinery, equipment and building systems.
Lachance and Davids will present their talk as part of the Modernizing Maintenance and Inspection track (Session F85) on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 11:10 a.m.
