Inteva Products, Troy, MI, a manufacturer of automotive closure systems, interiors, motors and electronics, and roof systems, has been named one of 2014 America’s Safest Companies for its North American and South American-based facilities. Inteva is one of only two auto- motive companies among this year’s 16 honorees.
Hydroformer Earns General Motors’ Recognition
Muza Metal Products, Oshkosh, WI, has installed an Amada FOL3015AJ fiber-laser cutting machine, doubling its laser-cutting capacity, says company president John Kriz. The acquisition comes on the heels of the firm’s recent 47,000-sq.-ft. expansion, growing its shop to 227,000 sq. ft.
Apollo manufactures 22 hydraulic machines for punch- ing and drilling pipes as well as round, square and rectan- gular tubes. The machines can punch 2 holes/sec., and pro- vide accuracy to 0.2 mm from first to last hole on a 3-m-long tube.
Vari-Form, Troy, MI, a hydro- former serving the automotive industry, has earned a Suppli- er Quality Excellence Award from General Motors. Winning suppliers met more than 12 quality criteria during a 12- month period that ended June 30, 2014. Vari-Form supplies GM with hydroformed alu- minum frame-rail components for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.
