Coil-Fed Fiber Laser Systems
The RDI laser-blanking system is a revolutionary, patented technology that combines continuous coil feed- ing with a high power fiber laser, streamlining the entire part manufacturing process. Available in three widths— 1m, 1.5m and 2m—these state-of-the-art systems are perfect for cutting through a variety of metals, including aluminum, high-strength alloy, mild, stainless and galva- nized steel. Replacing two traditional machines, sheet-fed laser beds or blanking presses, these systems reduce the cost-per-part, eliminate die and die maintenance, and increase material savings while reducing overall labor and material handling costs. Also, the complete RDI laser- blanking system has lower installation costs and a small- er footprint when compared to traditional laser or mechanical blanking equipment, saving valuable floor space that can be used for other manufacturing opera- tions. Each system comes complete with a coil car, uncoiler, straightener, laser module and stacking system. A high-precision servo feed moves the material in the
X axis, while a high-speed linear motor moves the laser head in the Y axis. Additionally, a short stroke X prime
axis is included for vital, intricate cuts and small holes. Lastly, reduce scrap and part changeovers through easy- to-operate nesting software.
