Five-Axis Waterjet- Cutting Machine Lands at Colorado Shape- Cutting Shop
Colorado WaterJet Com- pany, Berthoud, CO, has acquired a five-axis Mach 4C waterjet-cutting machine from Flow Intl., Kent, WA. The modular-design machine pro- vides as much as 60 deg. of motion for bevel and 3D cut- ting using as many as four cutting heads.

ThomasNet announces the launch of its North Amer- ican Manufacturing Scholar- ship Program. The company will issue as many as 30 $1000 scholarships to grad- uating high-school seniors with an interest in pursuing a career in manufacturing who will attend a 2- or 4-yr. college or a vocational school.

The Coordinate Metrolo- gy Society, San Diego, CA, has launched the industry’s first Level One Certification for portable 3D metrology. Examinations will be held at the Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC) July 22-26, 2013, at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina. The Level One examination is a proctored online assessment compris- ing some 200 multiple- choice questions covering theory and practices com- mon to most portable 3D metrology devices.
