Smart-Phone Apps Support the PPAP Process
Guardian Business Solutions, Inc., Brookfield, WI, has released the first two apps in its Smartphone/ Tablet library of Mobilize-IT Enterprise apps. First is the Qual- ity Inspection Capture app (shown), which supports PPAP reporting by capturing quality and inspection data. Initial inspection requirements are set up in a web app on the Mobilize-IT middleware/app server and merged with existing part and operation data from an ERP sys- tem. The information is downloaded into the app to retrieve and record the inspection information. Completed transactions then are sent back to the middleware serv- er and stored in a database for PPAP reporting.
Next is a Cycle Count app that supports the cycle- count function of an ERP system. It allows the user to access the inventory-item count tag to verify the existing item information and to record the current count. Completed cycle-count information is sent back to the mid-
dleware server and stored in the database for importing into an ERP system.
Both new apps are designed for devices with an Android operating system; an iOS
version is coming soon.

New Release Features Enhanced Business Intelligence Tools
